Workshop Title – The Heartbeat of Egypt
Instructor – Sahar Sami
 
Workshop Description:
This special workshop was designed by Sahar with the dancer in mind.  She uses a new drum solo created especially for Sahar Sami by Master Percussionist Gamal Gomaa.  This workshop was created to solidify dancers’ understanding and interpretation of three of Egypt's most popular rhythms -- Malfoof, Saidi, and Fallahi.  Students learn a fun and exciting drum solo and to recognize these popular rhythms.

Yana Dance- professional actress, dancer and choreographer, founder and artistic director of Oriental Dance Ensemble(since 2006) and School (since 2000), working in the ORIENTAL Dance more than 15 years. Yana Dance style is modern scenic oriental dance, she creates her own dance trend with signature moves and reknown Yana's manner. Her Ensemble is one of the most professional and popular oriental dance groups in the world. Yana is a guest artist and teacher of International Dance Festivals.

Hungary

Shaba is a known oriental dancer of Hungary. She is a general guest teacher and performer of oriental dance festivals all over Hungary, and abroad.

She has started oriental dance since 1998.

Her work was acknowledged in several competitions and oriental events.

She is a general participator of the international oriental dence festivals in Cairo, Egypt since 2002 

She is a general guest teacher of the Europian dance festivals since 2004

She is a guest techer of the Stocholm Bellydance Festival in Sweeden since 2008

She has a degree at Middle Eastern Studies at the ELTE University of Budapest in 2009

Nowdays she is student of Master of Arts in Oriental Studies.

MOKA
Moka, the young trilingual
(Japanese, English and Spanish speaker)dancer has over thirteen years of experience in the field of Egyptian oriental dance as a performer, teacher and choreographer. Originally from Japan,she started oriental dance when she was 18 years old in Sydney Australia as a university student.
She had started to teach dance as a teacher when she was 21 years old in Macquarie University Creative Leasure Course for 3 years.
Since then,she has taught Oriental dance and Salsa dance in numerous dance studios in Sydney and Tokyo.
 
After her graduation of University,
 she went to South America (Spain, Costarica, Peru, Chile, Cuba)to polish her dance techniques of classical ballet and contemporary and latin dance. Especially she visited Cuba for 4 times and studied dance techniques in National Theater and National Ballet de Cuba.
After coming back from her international dance training, she has opened her dance studio Moka salsa & bellydance studio at the center of Tokyo Japan since 2006 .
In 2012 February, she will perform with the guest teacher Ahmed Refaat in Nile Group Show and she is very excited.
As a young Asian dancer,she aims to give joy and happiness through this graceful ancient art for all over the world.
